Truth doesn't always win friends but it influences them

The other is the chunck or rock form as you say. They are both the same thing. Just one is smaller pieces glued on the filter pad. IMO the filter pad does not do as much as the larger ganules, as there is not as much in comparison to total surface area. The filter pad will do just as well, just not as long or as much, because the surface area will fill up quicker. _____________________________________________________________ There is always a bigger fish...

Also as it get older it can become a problem as it stores up the nasties very quickly. This will depend on your tank.
